Sacred Water Island Retreat

July 19 – July 24 | 4 Elements Culinary & Wellness Center

Presented by S.C. Wellness and Beyond Yoga & Wellness

Come Home to Yourself.

There comes a moment when the body asks you to slow down. To step away from the noise, the pressure, and the "constant doing," and simply—return.

Set against the untouched beauty of Water Island, this retreat is an invitation to exhale. Together, we will reset the nervous system, reconnect with the body’s innate wisdom, and remember what it feels like to truly rest, receive, and realign. Through a blend of movement, stillness, and ocean energy, you will find the space to come back into balance.

About Water Island

Water Island is best described as the "Hidden Fourth Sister" of the U.S. Virgin Islands. It is the smallest of the main islands and offers a stark, beautiful contrast to the bustling energy of St. Thomas.

The "Off-the-Grid" Atmosphere

Water Island is where you go to truly disconnect. There are no stoplights, no large hotels, and very few cars—most residents and visitors get around by golf cart or on foot. For a retreat guest, this means an immediate drop in "city noise" and a shift into a much slower, more intentional pace of life.

Honeymoon Beach

This is the heart of the island. It’s a stunning, protected cove with crystal-clear, calm waters that are perfect for floating meditation or gentle swimming. While there are a couple of small beach bars (Dinghy’s and Heidi’s), the vibe remains laid-back and unpretentious.

Nature and History

The island is only about 500 acres, making it incredibly intimate. You can wander the trails to Fort Segarra, an unfinished underground World War II fortification. From the top, you get a 360-degree view of the Caribbean Sea, which is a powerful spot for a sunrise practice or a sunset reflection.

How it Fits the Retreat Experience

  • The Transit is a Ritual: The 10-minute ferry ride from Crown Bay Marina acts as a "threshold." You leave the commercial world behind and cross the water into a sanctuary.

  • Minimal Distractions: Without the shopping malls or cruise ship crowds, the environment naturally supports mindfulness and inward focus.

  • Pristine Night Skies: Because there is so little light pollution compared to St. Thomas, the stargazing is incredible—perfect for a late-night sound bath or campfire circle.

Imagine a tiny, peaceful sanctuary just a 10-minute boat ride away from St. Thomas, where the pavement ends and the golf carts begin. Water Island is the 'quiet' version of the Caribbean—a place of wild turtles, secret fort ruins, and a beach that feels like a private pool. It’s not just an island; it’s a deep breath for your nervous system.
