Who We Are

Ashley Bousquet
Ashley is the owner and founder of Beyond Yoga & Wellness LLC. Trauma Informed RYT Yoga Teacher certified with Yoga Alliance specializing in Vinyasa, Yoga Nidra, Yin, Restorative, SUP, and Animal Yoga Styles. Ashley has also been a distinguished Dance Teacher for 20 years. She received her BFA in Dance at The University of Massachusetts Amherst, Minor in Kinesiology. Lastly, Ashley is a Line Dancing Instructor, is Acrobatic Arts Certified, Alixa Flexibility Certified, NASM
Movement has been Ashley’s first language.
From a young age, she was drawn to the expressive and transformative power of the body — a love that grew into a 20-year career teaching dance and guiding others through movement. Her background spans Ballet, Acro Dance, Musical Theater, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Modern Dance, West African Dance, somatic practices, and improvisation — each discipline shaping her deep understanding of both the physical body and the emotional landscape it holds.
Ashley received her BFA in Dance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she quickly recognized the profound need for bodily regeneration and emotional regulation within competitive dance culture. Her work in acrobatics and flexibility training, combined with her Acrobatic Arts and Alixa Flexibility certifications, positioned her as both an artist and a technical educator.
Introduced to yoga in high school as a supplement to her professional dance training, yoga became an anchor throughout her performing career — supporting injury prevention, recovery, nervous system regulation, and longevity in a demanding industry. Transitioning into a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and trauma-informed educator was a natural evolution, especially as she witnessed firsthand the physical and emotional toll on athletes and dancers.
Ashley’s teaching blends her extensive anatomy background — supported by a minor in Kinesiology and a foundation in Personal Training — with intuitive, somatic, and restorative practices. She specializes in Vinyasa, Yoga Nidra, Yin, Restorative, SUP, and Animal Yoga, offering experiences that balance strength with softness, discipline with play, and structure with freedom.
As the founder of Beyond Yoga & Wellness LLC, Ashley creates inclusive, community-centered spaces where movement becomes medicine — supporting resilience, embodied confidence, emotional release, and sustainable strength.
Whether teaching a high-energy movement class, a trauma-informed restorative session, or guiding dancers through technical training, Ashley’s work is rooted in one core belief:
Healing happens through the body.
